East Ord war memorial © J Brown, 1990East Ord war memorial in Northumberland stands on the village green. The cross stands on a plinth supported by a cairn on a two stepped base. It is surrounded by a stone and metal boundary marker. Both the plinth and cairn carry plaques; the higher of the two commemorating the fallen of the First World War, the lower commemorating the fallen of the Second.

In 2000 £150 was given towards the replacement marble plaque inscribed with the names of the fallen of the Second World War, which was damaged.

The words “Lest we forget” are inscribed on the memorial above the plaques. The higher plaque has the inscription

of Ord Parish
who fell in the Great War
1914-1918
"We feebly struggle,
they in glory shine"”
